Jacob turned 11 months old this week - in Hilton Head! We had a great first family vacation. Jacob was exposed to many new sights and sounds - he especially loved traveling on an airplane, discovering the ocean and eating hush puppies. (haha) Not gonna lie - it wasn't easy and was even a little stressful at times, but was good to be in a beautiful place in the world with the people I love. Here is a pic of Jake on the beach for his 'birthday photo shoot' :)
For a quick update (and then more pics!) Jacob has been doing great with 'signing' lately - it is exciting! I introduced signing a couple months ago and didn't think he was paying any attention but all of a sudden, he started signing for 'more' during a meal, and then 'all done' when he is done! It is amazing watching him try to communicate with us! One of his favorite books is 'So big' and when we say 'How big is Jacob?' he throws his arms up big! He can also show us where his hair is, where Daddy is, and when we ask him what the fan does he moves his hand 'round and round' :) He also likes to tell us to turn the light on and off and he gets excited to watch it. Then he has to do it :)

Great pics! Isn't baby sign awesome? We did it with both girls, and I actually teach Baby Signing Time classes now... love it! If you aren't familiar with Signing Time and Baby Signing Time, you should definitely check out the DVD's! :)
